Founded December 2023 by David Ding, Conor Durkan, Charlie Nash, Yaroslav Ganin and Andrew Sanchez, backed by Andreessen Horowitz and artist investors. After the October 2025 UMG settlement it disabled audio downloads and is rebuilding as a licensed, closed 'walled garden' service.
