What this reference is, what it does not claim, and how to use it.

What this site is

This is an independent, informational reference and directory covering video production crafts and AI media generation. It is intended to help individuals and industry teams develop a basic understanding of available AI tools, technologies, and implementation methods, including generative media models, prompt construction, MCP servers, and platform delivery requirements. It provides a starting point for discovery and comparison and does not replace independent technical, security, legal, procurement, or suitability assessments.

It is not affiliated with any model provider, platform or vendor described on it.

Where the information comes from

Information is compiled from public sources, including official registries, package registries, public repositories, vendor websites, documentation, and publicly available APIs. Listings may include product descriptions, versions, licenses, integrations, availability, usage data, and other publicly reported information.

Content is curated and edited with AI assistance. Records are updated periodically, but all information reflects a point-in-time snapshot and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. The "last updated" date identifies the most recent update. Unverified information may be omitted rather than estimated.

Every specification, price and measurement on this site is what a named source said on a recorded date, and each page shows that date. This field changes monthly.

How to use the listings

Listings, comparisons, rankings, and "best" designations are provided for general informational and discovery purposes. They reflect the stated criteria and information available on the applicable review date and may not be suitable for every user, project, or use case.

Unless expressly disclosed, listings are not sponsored, promoted, or given paid placement. Inclusion does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, security review, or guarantee of performance. Independently verify a tool's features, pricing, licensing, security, compatibility, and suitability before using it, particularly before granting access to credentials, systems, data, or write permissions.

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and do not imply affiliation or endorsement.

Licensing and legal questions are yours to check

Nothing here is legal advice, and no page tells you a model is cleared for commercial use. Read the licence. Whether training on copyrighted work is lawful is unsettled, and no page here takes a side on it.

Attribution and rights

Product names, company names, logos, trademarks, and third-party materials belong to their respective owners and are used solely for identification and informational purposes. Third-party descriptions and repository content remain subject to their original sources and licenses.

We claim no ownership of any of it, and nothing on this site should be read as a grant of rights in someone else's material.

Using what this site publishes

The editorial text written for this site, and the reference data compiled for it such as the platform safe zone measurements and the prompt craft vocabulary, is offered under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence. Reuse it, including commercially, with attribution to Shotcraft and a link to the page it came from.

That licence covers only what we wrote or measured. It does not and cannot cover the third-party material described above, which stays under its own terms.

The code that generates the site is available under the MIT licence.
