Founded by four former Kensho employees (Mikey Shulman, Georg Kucsko, Martin Camacho, Keenan Freyberg) and based in Cambridge, Massachusetts; the web app became widely available on 20 December 2023. Sued by the major labels via the RIAA in June 2024; settled with Warner Music Group in November 2025 and signed a licensing deal with BMG in August 2026.
