Strengths
- Managed access to Stability's best image quality without GPU ops
- Sits in a suite with erase/inpaint/outpaint/upscale endpoints
- Simple credit-based billing model
Weaknesses
- Pricing and resolution could not be verified — Stability's platform pages are JS-rendered and returned no content to our fetcher
- No 2026 flagship refresh announced
- Loses on quality benchmarks to FLUX.2, Nano Banana Pro and GPT Image 2 per third-party comparisons
Best for
- Teams already standardised on Stability's API who want its highest-quality tier without self-hosting.
Where the sources disagree
Recorded rather than resolved. Picking the tidier number would hide the fact that the vendor's own pages do not agree.
- Third-party pages report $0.08 per image and an SD3.5 Large backbone. Neither was confirmable from a Stability page we could fetch, so pricingModel and maxResolution are null.
- stability.ai/stable-image does not mention the 'Ultra' or 'Core' product names at all, which conflicts with third-party descriptions of the current product lineup. The Stable Image branding may have been reorganised.

Shotcraft hosts no sample output. Judging a model means watching its own showreel with your own eyes, and a clip re-hosted here would be a clip we chose.
